Paralegal/Executive Assistant – Temporary – San Rafael - $50 - $70/hour

Reputable, San Rafael-based construction firm is seeking a temporary Paralegal/Executive Assistant to support 2 busy, high-profile executives during an extended employee medical leave. In this vital role, you will spend the bulk of your day on paralegal work (80%) and the remainder providing proactive executive support (20%). You will have a proven track record for discretion, diplomacy and tact. A minimum 5+ years recent and relevant Paralegal and prior executive support experience is required.

• Start date : Monday 8/4/25
• Duration: 4+ months, temporary
• Location: On site in central San Rafael
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
• Background Check: Clear criminal background check required

The qualified Paralegal will:

• Draft, compose legal correspondence; assist in reviewing, preparing, routine corporate documents and agreements
• Support the day-to-day activities of the Executive Chairman, both internally and on outside boards and committees: assist in prioritization, analysis, and planning
• Serve as a liaison between Executive office and internal/external stakeholders
• Organize/coordinate travel, meetings, conference calls, events
• Serve as “right hand” support person: proactively assist with intertwined professional and business matters

The qualified Paralegal must have:

• 5+ years’ recent Paralegal experience
• C-level executive administrative support experience
• Extraordinarily strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance. Self-directed, proactive worker comfortable taking the initiative
• Refined written and verbal communications skills. Excellent grammar. Proficient in corporate legal document review and drafting
• Knowledge on basic IT functions and processes; ability to troubleshoot technology on the fly
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
