The Role: The Platform Engineering team supports infrastructure and developer tooling initiatives across Gametime's platform. This role offers hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and developer enablement in a high-scale production environment. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, and eager to learn automation, DevOps, and cloud development skills. Impact You’ll Make: Collaborate with Platform Engineers to improve and extend Terraform modules and internal tooling. Enhance CI/CD pipelines by automating workflows and quality gates. Support observability by building dashboards, alerting, and integrating metrics. Assist with documentation, onboarding tools, and scripts to improve developer experience. Participate in planning and standups to learn about infrastructure design and trade-offs. What We Need to Work Together: Technical Skills: Exposure to public cloud environments (AWS). Familiarity with Bash, Python, or Go for scripting and tooling. Understanding of containers, networking, and infrastructure lifecycle. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to pair program, follow feedback, and ask thoughtful questions. Clear documentation and effective communication with peers. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Use logs, metrics, or guides to troubleshoot issues. Approach challenges with a learning mindset and understanding of the bigger picture. Identify root causes of problems beyond surface symptoms. Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science or related field. Entry-level experience. Familiarity with Linux CLI, Git, and strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, S3, RDS). Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Datadog). Experience with containers. Exposure to IaC tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, Atlantis). AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. Certified Kubernetes Administrator. Salary ranges are subject to change based on market data and individual qualifications. The typical range in the US is $25–$30 USD per hour.
