About the Role
Nefab Group is on a growth journey, and we are dependent on high-performance people to succeed. Our Production team in the organization is vital for us to deliver sustainable solutions to our customers. We are now strengthening our team in Nefab with a Production Manager. The manager is responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility to include, but not limited to, personnel, production, maintenance, customer requirements/interface, planning and scheduling, safety, and housekeeping. In addition, the Production Manager serves as a key member of the management leadership team, which coordinates policies and manufacturing personnel requirements for the division.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, hire and be responsible for a dependable, stable manufacturing workforce
- Manage daily production work orders to completion and within scheduled timeframe, Master Planning
- Responsible for maintaining date integrity within an ERP system
- Manage inventory, orders, oversee fulfillment, oversee material readiness for jobs, review job cost, close MO’s etc.
- Effectively utilize staff and equipment to maximize output while maintaining or reducing costs
- Set the standards, communicate, and achieve clear and measurable expectations of performance for the operation as well as direct reports
- Develop and implement effective strategies that lead to continuous improvements, including but not limited to 5S, Cost Reduction strategies, & Business Improvement planning/development
- Responsible for driving Lean Initiatives / Continuous Improvements efforts including but not limited to 5s, Cost Reduction strategies & Business improvement planning/development
- Maintain production quality in accordance with Nefab or customer standards
- Establish, maintain, and monitor adherence to ISO9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA standards
- Perform quality inspections on work in progress and finished goods with other production personnel and engineering
- Conduct monthly safety training as well as ad hoc meetings regarding production or machine issues
- Ensure that a regular maintenance program for all tools and machinery is in place and scheduled maintenance, or repairs are completed
- Assign employee workload, determine training requirements, expedite work-in-process, and coordinate shipping/receiving activities, Master Planning
- Address business issues appropriately to both internal and external audiences and make informed and impactful recommendations
- Lead work environments that embrace the principles of positive employee relations
- Manage, promote, and sustain employee health and safety programs
- Proactively manage raw material and finished goods requirements and maintain inventory accuracy to meet or exceed customer expectations for delivery
- Remain informed of state and federal regulatory requirements
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” and Mission and values statements
- Uphold, safeguard, and promote corporate values and philosophy to ethics, integrity, corporate and social responsibility
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, and certification process of the ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality Programs at manufacturing sites
- Deal with Certification Inspectors
- Update, Facilitate, and Enforce ISO Programs
- Track non-conformities
- Collect and compile statistical quality data for analysis to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Ensure Quality Metrics are followed through across all Georgia sites
- Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
- Bridge the gap between Shop and Engineering to ensure drawings are updated appropriately (Including all files needed for updated customer service using our regional sourcing and sales team)
- Track safety hours worked without incident and update reporting
- Identify unsafe work habits, report, and work with General Manager to implement change
- Perform other duties as required and directed by the General Manager as well as the Regional Managing Director
- Maintain and improve the factory facility
- Keep 5S at all the time
- Improve and develop organization capabilities through effective performance management and planning/utilization of human capital resources
- Develop relationships to improve performance with employees
- Build positive working relationships within the global organization and serve as point of contact for broader corporate initiatives.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of experience in a manager or supervisor role in an operations, manufacturing, quality, or production capacity
- Local knowledge and experience developing stable workforce
- Previous experience working within ISO 9001 framework or similar preferred; ISO auditing or implementation experience a strong plus
- Previous experience in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar preferred
LANGUAGES
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all employees, customers, vendors, and any other business associates
- Ability to be able to make effective persuasive presentations
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP system knowledge a plus
- Proven ability to create a safety-conscious environment within assigned team
- Ability to manage others, resolve interpersonal conflicts, investigate issues, and effectively run the operations of the entire business unit

Work Environment
- Office working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require weekend and/or evening work.
- Plant working conditions include more than 90 dB noise and some dust. Personal Protection Equipment is provided.
- The Production Manager’s role has cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines and daily stress due to the responsibility associated with the incumbent’s decisions, outcomes, and potential outcomes. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and frequently meets with others.

Pay: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
